We have created a route that will take you from the Burga de Osma to Valladolid and that goes through the best kept secrets of the wine region of the Ribera de Duero area, the highest rated wine region in Spain and possibly one of the best in the world.


We will visit castles, medieval villages, underground cellars, inns from the 15th century and we will taste the best wines and understand them in detail as we explore the artisanal wine culture. A perfect route for the most demanding palates and a unique place to enjoy real Spain through wine and its wineries dedicated to high quality product and real luxury of hospitality and rural life.

  • Visit to Calatañazor, a practically deserted town with mud houses but where its conical chimneys play a big role. We will taste its famous torreznos and walk to the top of the main hill to the castle to take a view of the beautiful valley called the ‘Valley of blood’.

  • Lunch with full soriano menu with wine.

  • Walk through Burgo de Osma with its imposing cathedral and its small alleys, palaces and traditional houses.

  • Take some rest in an emblematic 16th century boutique hotel with a spa renowned for its thermal water treatments.

  • Thermal water treatment included in the hotel to recover strength for the rest of the route.

  • Visit to Aranda de Duero well known for its network of underground wineries.

  • Visit  2 underground cellars, one of them from the 14th century.

  • Stroll through its cobbled squares and take in the facade of the church of Santa María, San Juan and the Noble House of Bolas. Also enjoy a pleasant walk through its parks on the banks of the Duero (the river that nourishes the grapes of the Ribera del Duero).

  • Eat at a celebrated steak restaurant, also famous for its lamb cooked in a wood-fired oven.

  • Stay in a wonderful boutique hotel fashioned by a renovation of a particularly old house. Totally hidden but undoubtedly a special and unique place where everything is focused on wine.

  • Upon arrival at our hotel we will have a wine tasting before a wonderful dinner.


  • To continue with our wine tourism route we enter one of the most wine-rich areas. The area of ​​Gumiel de Izán.

  • We will visit nearby towns of great cultural and wine tourism interest with many wineries driving through fields full of grape vines.

  • We will enter the wineries designed by Norman Foster. Famous for the quality of its vines and its stunning structure in the shape of a star.

  • Lunch with a full menu in a traditional Castilian restaurant.

  • Tasting and guided tour of a cellar specialized in high quality wines. It has numerous prizes for its crianzas, reserves and grand reserves.

  • Dinner with pairing in a cellar that also has a stunning hotel where you will stay.


If there is a place to visit on the Ribera del Duero route, it is the Peñafiel castle converted into the wine museum. But the best is not only that, but Peñafiel has some of the best wineries in Spain.

  • We will visit the Peñafiel Castle, which is a place of pilgrimage for lovers of wine, we will observe the manufacturing techniques of some of the most important wines in the world. We will have a guided tasting of various Ribera del Duero’s right at the origin of the castle and within the castle's tasting rooms.

  • Visit the design winery by Richard Rogers which greets the foothills of Castillo de Peñafiel. We will visit the old cellar that runs through the interior of the mountain and finish with a wine tasting.

  • Visit the Arzuaga Winery for a wine a tasting and to eat at its famous restaurant.

  • Stay in one of the most prestigious wine hotels in the world, it is also a prestigious winery. Situated in the middle of a farm dedicated to the wine, your palate will be expanded as the relaxing environment stimulates all your senses. A wonderful dinner will be waiting for you.


On the way to the city of Valladolid we will stop in what for us are the 4 best wineries in Spain. A beautiful day where the good food and the delicacy of Ribera de Duero's wines stand in a class of their own.

  • Visit to the Monastery of Santa Maria de Valbuena founded in the 12th century and Quintanilla de Onesimo, a  precious village that boasts monuments of the 11th century.

  •  Lunch – a typically Castilian meal cooked over coals.

  • Visit to a unique winery where there is a SXII monastery with farm and vineyards surroundings which we will explore in a 4x4 vehicle. We will visit the winery and end with a tasting of two wines with the highest possible rating of Ribera del Duero: A special selection and a Pago wine.

  • Stay in a renovated boutique hotel in an old monastery. The hotel offers Spa and Spa and its thermal waters come from the Spring of San Bernardo where Cistercian monks in the 12th century took advantage of its waters to irrigate the vineyards that are part of today's D.O. Ribera del Duero


  • In the morning we will visit the winery per excellence, enjoying a guided tour with tasting and will then eat at its excellent Michelin star restaurant.

  • In the afternoon we will approach the city of Valladolid. The capital of Ribera Del Duero it is recognised as one of the leaders in gastronomy for its famous tapas, wines and trompe l'oeil. It will be a free afternoon where you can walk around the city and go to dinner wherever you want, but probably guided by our recommendations.

  • Stay in a beautiful converted palace that will give you strength to say goodbye to the wine route.


On our last day you will visit the beautiful city of Burgos well known by Spaniards for its architecture and gastronomy.


• Visit to its imposing cathedral, one of the most representative gothic buildings in Spain and possibly the world. 

• Enjoy your lunch with a tapas walking tour in the Old Town.
