Let your eyes admire the almost impossible shapes and reflections created by the museum’s titanium skin that protects the museum infrastructure.
Admire works by artists such as Andy Warhol, Anselm Kiefer, Jean-Michel Basquiat and the local Basque sculptors of Eduardo Chillida and Jorge Oteiza.

BILBAO GASTRONOMY - THE OLD TOWN
Discover Bilbao’s history on a relaxed walk around the beautiful colourful Old Town of Bilbao dating back to the 13th century. Learn how Bilbao transformed from being one of the ugliest cities in Spain to be one of the most modern and contemporary cities of Europe.

We will take you to explore the local food market (the biggest covered market in Europe) so you can see the products we use in our day-to-day gastronomy such as the salted cod, the spicy chorizo or the tender calamari (txipirones).

We’ll stop at a couple of bars for some local drinks and pintxos in "Plaza Nueva" where we will have lunch with three lovely pintxos and drink. We’ll explain everything about our language, The Basque, believed to predate both Roman and Latin influences and possibly the most important asset that the Basques have nowadays.
the nervion river
If there’s one iconic element that explains Bilbao’s economy and the history of Bilbao, it´s the Nervion river.
Enjoy a peaceful walk along the river where you will be delighted with architectural pieces such as the the impressive 'Spider' of Louise Bourgeois, the "Puppy" of Jeff Koons, The Arati Isozaki towers or the stunning "Zubizuri" bridge designed by Calatrava!
