 Booking Terms & Conditions

1. Our contract 

All bookings are with Northern Spain Gastronomy. By booking a trip with us you are bound to these Booking Conditions (which constitutes the entire agreement between you and us) and your booking is accepted by us on this basis. 

 

2. Payment Terms  for day tours and half-day experiences

Free cancellations and date changes (pending availability) up to 72 hours before your tour. In order to get a cancellation you must send us an email 72 hours in advance of the tour in order to receive a refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after 72 hours. We will give you the courtesy of 10 minutes waiting time after the tours starts but if you don´t show up tin time this tour will be considered as commenced and no refunds or rebooking will be offered.

All our tours runs regardless of weather conditions. We reserve the right to cancel the tour if we don´t reach the minimum number of participants for our semi-private tours. We will let you know at least 24 hours before the tour starts and offer you a full refund but not further claims will be accepted.

Refunds can take time as it is run by our payment processor so it can take up to 15 days before you see it in your bank account. Refunds will be done using the same payment method you used to book the tour.

3. Payment Terms for multi-day tours, bespoke tours & large groups

A non-refundable deposit of at least 10% is required at the time of booking in order for it to be confirmed, a larger non-refundable deposit may be requested at our discretion based on type of booking and seasonal demand. The remaining balance is due no later than 15 days prior to the trip date for it to be confirmed. The balance payment is refundable until 7 days before the tour and non-refundable when there are less than 7 days remaining. This policy ensures fair treatment of our suppliers and cover our time and dedication organising the itinerary and schedule for you. In case the tour needs to be cancelled for a pandemic the deposit will be held as a credit for future tours with us.

 

3. Prices & surcharges 

Our trip prices are subject to variable and seasonal pricing, both of which are standard practice within the travel industry. This means our trip prices may vary at any time in accordance with demand, market conditions and availability. Once you have received a quote the price will be locked in provided you pay the required deposit prior to the quote’s expiry. You have 15 days to accept and pay the deposit.

4. Your details  

In order for us to confirm your travel arrangements you must provide all requested details at the time of booking or as required. Necessary details vary by trip; Failure to provide requested details may result in additional charges or non-refundable cancellation of your trip.

 

5. Cancellation policy

 You are entitled to cancel the trip at any time subject to the payment terms stated above. If we have to cancel you trip we will refund you 100% of your booking but we will not be liable for any loss or damage indemnity. We may cancel a trip at any time prior to departure if, due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events it is not viable for us to operate the planned itinerary. If we cancel your trip, you can transfer amounts paid to an alternate departure date or receive a full refund.  In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs.  We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.   If you leave a trip for any reason after it has commenced we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services.  If you fail to join a tour, join it after departure, or leave it prior to its completion, no refund will be made.

6. Travel insurance

We do not provide travel insurance. Travel insurance is highly recommended for all our travellers.  Your travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation with a recommended minimum coverage of  €200,000 for each of the categories of cover. We also strongly recommend it covers cancellation, curtailment, personal liability and loss of luggage and personal effects.

 

7. Flexibility

You acknowledge that the nature of this type of travel requires flexibility and you should allow for us to make alternative arrangements. The itinerary provided for each trip is representative of the types of activities contemplated, but it is understood that the route, schedules, itineraries, amenities and mode of transport may be subject to alteration without prior notice due to local circumstances or availability.

8. Authority on tour  

Our group trips are run by a group leader. The decision of the group leader is final on all matters likely to affect the safety or well-being of any traveller or staff member participating in the trip. If you fail to comply with a decision made by a group leader, or interfere with the well-being or mobility of the group, the group leader may direct you to leave the trip immediately, with no right of refund.  We may also elect not to carry you on any future trips booked. You must at all times comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange and drug regulations of all countries visited, and you also agree to travel in accordance with our responsible travel guidelines.
