What To Expect

VISIT SANTILLANA DEL MAR

We´ll visit the picturesque village of Santillana del Mar – often touted as the prettiest village in Spain. It’s a medieval gem, crisscrossed by cobblestone streets and filled with gorgeous old stone buildings with pretty balconies. A mostly pedestrian village, we’ll explore on foot, visiting buildings such as the Colegiata de Santa Juliana, medieval mansions and the Torres of Merino and Don Borja.

  • Taste the original sobaos pasiegos (one of the delicacies of Cantabria) with fresh milk (just boiled)

VISIT COMILLAS

We will visit the historic city of Comillas which holds one of the most emblematic buildings ever built "El Capricho" designed by the acclaimed Antonio Gaudí.This building was designed as a green house where each room was supposed to be used at an specific time depending on the position of the sun. These type of buildings are called Indianos built for those family who made big fortunes in the Americas and when returned back home wanted to show their wealth. They are widely spread around Cantabria and we will see many

We will walk along the cobbled street of this fisherman village and grab a glass of wine and a pintxo in the charming main square. It´s  worth it, trust us!

COCIDO MONTAÑES - LUNCH

You cannot leave Cantabria without trying the number 1 Cantabrian dish, El Cocido Montañes. We will take you to one of the most traditional & beautiful restaurants.

 

The beans are accompanied by chorizo, panceta, ribs and morcilla. That will give you energy until at least the end of the tour!

VISIT CASTRO URDIALES

We will finish our day discovering Cantabria visiting Castro Urdiales, a beautiful fisherman’s’ town, which lies just on the border of Cantabria and the Basque Country.

Castro has plenty of history, which date all the way from the Palaeolithic period to the Celtics and the Romans. We'll discover all the little secrets that this village has to offer, walking around its castle, 13th-century church and port.
